Contents of the 20 Minuten app are now automatically translated into English – to be followed by Portuguese, Albanian, Serbian, Croatian, and Spanish

Unprecedented in the Swiss media landscape: As the first large, private news portal in Switzerland, 20 Minuten makes automated translations of its contents available in foreign languages, beginning with English today. Other languages will follow.

Zurich, 2 November 2021 – Starting immediately, the editorial articles of the 20 Minuten and 20 minutes apps are also available in English for registered users. Choosing the preferred language is easy with the language selection button within the app settings. All texts currently available in the app will immediately and automatically be translated into English by a professional translation service. However, videos, advertisements and surveys will not be translated.

A gradual introduction of additional languages, such as Portuguese, Albanian, Serbian, Croatian, and Spanish is planned.
