Olivier Martinet appointed Chief Information Security Officer of TX Group

As of June 2022, Olivier Martinet will assume the role of Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of TX Group from Andreas Schneider, who has decided to take on a new challenge outside the group.

Zurich, 10 February 2022 – Today, the TX Group has a resilient and agile cyber security. This has been built up in particular over the last three and a half years by  Andreas Schneider and his team. Andreas Schneider focused primarily on increasing the security of the products and introduced security in agile application development with various technologies and initiatives. He also strengthened cloud security and launched several bug bounty programmes in which external researchers and hackers are assigned to search for security vulnerabilities within TX Group products. In order to improve IT security for the employees of the TX Group, the entire end device and network infrastructure was rebuilt and security for the use of private devices in the business environment was increased.

Olivier Martinet, who has been with the TX Group for almost eight years, will take over the role of Group Chief Information Security Officer as of June 2022. Together with Andreas Schneider, he was significantly involved in the development and implementation of the new cybersecurity. Even in the past, when the position of Security Officer did not yet existed as such, he increased IT security within the Group by being the first to introduce a password policy and IT security training for employees. Olivier Martinet was also involved in the successful defense against various DDos attacks.

"Andreas Schneider and his team have taken TX Group's cyber security to an extraordinary level. In addition to his technical skills, as an ambassador for IT security he constantly sensitised both management and employees to the topic and shared his expert knowledge with the general public in interviews and tech symposia. I am delighted that Olivier Martinet, who has helped shape our modern cyber security strategy, will take on the role of Chief Information Security Officer of TX Group," states Group CIO Franz Bürgi.
