Markus A. Wirth to become new Chief Digital Officer of the TX Group

Zurich, 18 December 2020 – Markus A. Wirth will occupy the vacant post of Chief Digital Officer of the TX Group from February 2021. As an established Management Consultant with a great passion for digital solutions, he will be responsible for the further development and implementation of the digital strategy at the TX Group. He will report to Samuel Hügli, Head  Technology & Ventures of the TX Group and member of the group management.

After appointing Yannick Suter as the new Chief Data Officer of the TX Group, the group has now also been able to fill the post of Chief Digital Officer. In this role, Markus A. Wirth will serve as a driving force for both digital transformation and a technical and data-driven future to promote growth and achieve the strategic and operational goals.

As an entrepreneur, consultant, strategist and manager, Markus A. Wirth offers over 20 years of experience in developing and implementing corporate strategies in various industries as well as in a Swiss and international context. He has recently held various management positions at COFRA Holding and before that at McKinsey and IBM. Wirth has a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration as well as a PhD from the University of St. Gallen.
