Tamedia fully acquires tutti.ch and car4you.ch

Zurich, 13 February 2015 – Swiss media group Tamedia acquires the 50 percent share of the Norwegian Schibsted Media Group in their jointly owned subsidiary Swiss Classified Media AG, which operates the classified ads platform tutti.ch and the car advertising market car4you.ch. Schibsted Media Group and Tamedia have agreed to continue its cooperation in the area of strategy, development and IT for the next three years regardless of the new ownership structure.

 

tutti.ch was launched in Switzerland in 2010 and developed into the leading platform for general classified ads within a very short time. Using synergies with OLX, Tamedia aims to further strengthen the market position of tutti.ch. car4you.ch has already been present in the Swiss market since 1997 and has a strong position among professional car dealers. By joining forces, autoricardo.ch and car4you.ch will be developed into a strong alternative to AutoScout24 within the car advertising market. 

 

The purchase price for the share of Schibsted in Swiss Classified Media AG consists of 15 EUR mn and an additional earn-out of maximum 12.5 CHF mn in 2019 based on the development of tutti.ch in 2018. The transaction is subject to approval of the Swiss Competition Commission.
