Schustermann & Borenstein Acquires FashionFriends from Tamedia

The Munich fashion company is enhancing its online fashion portfolio with the acquisition of FashionFriends. Tamedia will focus primarily on online marketplaces and classifieds platforms in the field of e-commerce in the future. 

Zurich, 1 April 2016 – Schustermann & Borenstein GmbH with main office in Munich is acquiring all shares of Swiss Online Shopping AG from the Swiss media group Tamedia as well as from minority shareholders on 1 April 2016. Swiss Online Shopping AG operates the online fashion outlet FashionFriends and the premium online fashion shop stromberg.ch.


Christoph Brand, Head of Digital Division at Tamedia: “We want to focus primarily on our online marketplaces and classifieds platforms in the field of e-commerce in the future. With Schustermann & Borenstein, we have found an ideal buyer for FashionFriends, whose core competence is in fashion trade and has operated fashion communities successfully in various European countries for years.”
