Implementation of the announced organisational development

Daniel Mönch is appointed as Chief Portfolio Officer and Tanja zu Waldeck is appointed as Chief Operations Officer of TX Group

Zurich, 14 May 2024 - As announced at the annual results media conference on 14 March 2024, TX Group is simplifying its organisational structure and will no longer have separate active Boards of Directors in the Group companies in future.

A distinction will be made between the media activities and the portfolio. The companies Tamedia, 20 Minuten and Goldbach together with Group Services form the media activities. The portfolio includes the participations in the marketplace companies Swiss Marketplace Group and JobCloud, as well as TX Ventures with the Fintech Fund, the streaming platform Zattoo and the appointment scheduling platform Doodle. Real estate is also part of the portfolio.

The media companies will continue to be managed by their CEOs, who will be responsible for the results together with their management boards: Jessica Peppel-Schulz as CEO of Tamedia, Bernhard Brechbühl as CEO of 20 Minuten and Michi Frank as CEO of Goldbach (from 1 July 2024, Christoph Marty will succeed Michi Frank as designated CEO of Goldbach).

As a link to the Board of Directors, Tanja zu Waldeck will join the Group as Chief Operations Officer on 1 October 2024 and provide the framework for the media activities. As the Group's Chief Portfolio Officer, Daniel Mönch will be responsible for the Group's investments, ventures and real estate.

“With this organisational framework, we are creating positive conditions for the successful onward development of both the individual companies and participations, as well as the Group as a whole,” says President and Publisher Pietro Supino confidently. He is delighted “that we have been able to appoint Tanja zu Waldeck as Chief Operations Officer Group and Daniel Mönch as Chief Portfolio Officer.”

Tanja zu Waldeck: “I am looking forward to shaping the further transformation of the media business with TX Group and its companies and look forward to meeting all my new colleagues.”

Daniel Mönch: “I am convinced that TX Group's participations, properties and ventures have considerable potential and I can't wait to contribute to realising these opportunities.”

She later founded an online portal for mothers, which she sold to TOMORROW FOCUS AG (Burda) in 2012.
