A glimpse of others' desks

Zurich, 15 March 2016 – Tamedia focuses on employees' desks in the Annual Report 2015. A total of 9 full-page images provide a glimpse of the items on the desk of the Tamedia publisher Pietro Supino, of the Tages-Anzeiger cartoonist, or the printer in the newspaper printing centre. The unusual portraits give readers of the Annual Report an insight into the different facets of the people behind them. For example, there are dictionaries, miniature news stands, hand-written notes and well-sharpened pencils on the desk of the Tamedia publisher. And while the CEO of the Danish vintage fashion platform Trendsales is obviously a huge Star Wars fan, the desk of the picture editor of 20 Minuten features her dog as well as her camera and her smartphone.

The personal items provided by the persons in the portraits were first accurately arranged by Annabelle photographer Daniel Valance and subsequently photographed in each case. The voluntary section of Tamedia's Annual Report 2015 was designed and produced jointly with the Futureworks agency.
