Doodle's premium subscription revenue increased by 30% in 2022
Zurich, 7 February 2023 - Thanks to its continuous functionalities development, Doodle generated more revenue with premium subscriptions than with advertising for the first time in 2022. The 2022 revenue from premium subscriptions increased by +32% compared to the previous year. The free version, which is also popular, was greatly improved through an optimised user interface and less "invasive" programmatic standard formats of advertising. The appointment-finding tool for groups and teams, which is mainly used in the USA and Europe, recorded 20 million booked meetings with over 120 million participants in the full year 2022.
The expansion of the functionalities from the original group poll tool to a professional scheduling tool progressed according to plan. In particular, the Doodle "Booking Page", which allows users to exchange their own availability and to automatically book meetings, was widely used. In this area, Doodle recorded an increase of +55% with 1.5 million organised meetings.
With the recent launch of the Apple calendar integration, Doodle now offers all common calendar integrations and thus the possibility of managing one's own availability via Doodle, making it visible to participants of choice and allowing them to book meetings.
"The digitalisation of scheduling and booking, increasing efficiency in our own time management, still has a lot of potential," says Renato Profico, CEO of Doodle. "While the use of the Doodle "Booking Page" is widespread in the USA, there is still plenty of ground to cover in Switzerland. Yet even here in Switzerland, a large number of the 2.3 million registered users have realised that Doodle can do much more than help to find dates for group meetings."
