In-depth examination by the Swiss Competition Commission of Tamedia's takeover of the Ricardo Group

Zurich, 9 June 2015 – The Swiss federal Competition Commission will conduct an in-depth examination of the planned takeover of the Ricardo Group by Tamedia. Since Tamedia has previously not been engaged in the core business of the Ricardo Group and in view of the intense competition in the e-commerce and free classifieds markets the Swiss media group continues to expect that the competition authority will approve the takeover. A decision is anticipated in the fall.
