homegate.ch: Axel Konjack Appointed New Managing Director

Zurich, 8 June 2015– Axel Konjack has been assigned to take over the executive management of the real estate portal homegate.ch in the course of summer 2015. The 45-year-old has many years of experience in the media industry and is a proven online expert. Since 2011 Konjack is managing director of the official city portal hamburg.de, a public private partnership in which Axel Springer has a majority stake. From 2006 to 2010 Konjack was CEO of the real estate portal immonet.de, which also belongs to Axel Springer. Before he worked as head of the Internet division and as project manager as well as investment manager in the business development of the German media group. Axel Konjack has a degree in business administration and studied economics at Lyon University, which is why he is not only speaking German and English fluently, but also French. He is succeeding Heinz M. Schwyter, who is switching to the supervisory board of Homegate AG at the beginning of august as already announced.
