Doodle to further expand its premium services, Gabriele Ottino named as Managing Director

Zurich, 2 February 2017 – With immediate effect, Gabriele Ottino takes over the position of Managing Director of Doodle. He had temporarily been at the helm of the company since last year already and now assumes responsibility for the long-term management of the Doodle teams in Zurich and Berlin as well as the development team of the chatbot Meekan by Doodle in Tel Aviv.

Under the direction of Gabriele Ottino, the premium services of Doodle will be further expanded and the development team considerably strengthened in the coming months. In the past year, various product developments have already been realised. One of the them was a Doodle app for Apple's iMessage. This allows a number of parties to coordinate a schedule directly in the iMessage chat system without having to exit the chat. Last year Doodle also took over the Meekan chatbot, a virtual assistant for efficient scheduling operated by artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Previously, Gabriele Ottino was Head of Digital Strategy at Tamedia, responsible for the realisation and development of the digital strategy. He has a Master of Physics from Ecole polytechnique fédérale in Lausanne and an MBA in Business Administration from the London Business School.

The Board of Directors of Doodle and the Management Board of the Swiss media group Tamedia, to which Doodle belongs, wish Gabriele Ottino every success with his new responsibilities.
