Katrin Volery named new Head of Human Resources at Tamedia

Zurich, 12 December 2014 – Katrin Volery was named new Head of Human Resources at Tamedia. She has extensive experience in human resources management and will run the personnel department of the Swiss media group with over 3,500 employees as a customer-oriented service and consulting centre. The new Head of Human Resources will report directly to Sandro Macciacchini, a member of the Management Board and responsible for the Finance and Human Resources division, to be established at the same time. Effective 1 April 2015, Katrin Volery will succeed Jacqueline Wüthrich who will leave the company at the end of March 2015.

Katrin Volery (46) is fluent in German, French and Italian and has been holding human resources management positions at national and international companies of various sizes since 2000. In the future, Katrin Volery and her team will increasingly focus on strategic objectives, such as recruiting, managing and developing employees. The merger of the salary and personnel administration with finances and accounting will ease the burden of administrative HR responsibilities on the Human Resources Department. The new Finance and Human Resources Services department will be headed by Daniel Manser, Deputy Head of the Finances and Human Resources division and currently responsible for finances and accounting. As a result, salary and expense payments as well as other administrative services will be provided from one source in the future.

The Management Board extends its best wishes for success in her new duties to Katrin Volery, as well as to Sandro Macciacchini and Daniel Manser in their expanded areas of responsibility.
