Cyber attack on OneLog: investigations ongoing

The effects of the cyber attack on OneLog, the login tool used by Swiss media and publishing houses CH Media, NZZ, Ringier and TX Group, are still being felt. The investigations are ongoing. OneLog does not manage any sensitive data such as credit card information.

Since Thursday, 24 October 2024, it has not been possible to log in or register via OneLog, the login tool of Swiss media and publishing houses, due to a cyber attack. OneLog is a joint venture of CH Media, NZZ, Ringier and TX Group. The NZZ and CH Media titles are not affected as they have not yet introduced the OneLog login solution.

OneLog is working intensively with all the companies involved to restore the affected services in the next few days. In addition, OneLog is conducting comprehensive investigations to determine the full extent and specific impact of the cyber attack. Since the attack became known, OneLog has been in contact with all the relevant authorities in Switzerland and the EU.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no further details can be shared. OneLog and all the companies involved are committed to communicating actively and transparently. More detailed information will be shared as soon as possible.

Content at Tamedia and Ringier Medien Schweiz online freely accessible until further notice

The media brands affected have responded to the login failure and have made their content, including content behind the paywall and e-papers, temporarily freely accessible.
